Woah, woah, woah, woah.

didnt expect myself to get addicted to this song, been listening to it few weeks straight. so i had to..... pardon me.

i like a phone call, i like to hear something like this. woah, woah, woah, woah. a conversation, that maybe leads into a kiss. (aha) mwoah, mwoah, mwoah, mwoah. aah, say that you love me, say that you need me too. best you ever had. it could be so easy, for you to please me, baby. so how come you tease me? you told me so what do you say? all you gonna take is not a opportunity. won't you give it to me, because you've got what i want. maybe it's my lucky day. just like the first spark, and watch the fireworks explode. boom boom, baby. you've got a fast car, so why the hell we driving slow? zoom, zoom, zoom me. kisses on my pillow, i've hundreds of those, though. i want something more. so congratulations, it's not the occasion they went. i get my way. you told me so what do you say? all you gonna take is not a opportunity. won't you give it to me, because you've got what i want. maybe it's my lucky day.

and more photobooth pica from few days ago. cny eve i guess, i had to kill time you see,

my cny was not too bad, i dont have lots of photos w me since my camera sort of broke down. i still can snap pictures w it, but the touchscreen isnt working at all. i cant change any functions, set timer, i cant even delete photos. oh and i cant use my flash at all since it's set to no-flash before the touch pad went mad. sigh. food was good. i gained a few pounds from all the eating and snacking but it's all fine. my family have got like more than 30 different cny goodies (i'm not even joking a bit), well mom and i didnt bake any goodies this year though. but we went shopping for cny goodies tgt, and i couldnt ask for more. i really love spending time w my mom, but i haven been doing so...... also, i got to cook for my extended family as usual on cny day one. i've been doing it for more than six years alr. day two was spent at sean's relative's crib, well ban luck (blackjack) was good. ban ban a few times and ban luck x2 when i was the banker, seriously what are the chances? what a good start of the year lol, huat ah.

& i figured, sometimes life is really nice.
what a random post. (oh yeah im trying to kill time)

neat.

made a trip down to plain vanilla bakery last friday! i'm pretty determined to find the best cupcake in singapore hahaha, especially since so many cupcakes shop has sprung up here and there. that's one of my goals (i'm serious lol). okay or find my favorite one at least..... i should make an effort in trying as many different cupcakes places as possible. so i was quite determined to head down after reading all the positive reviews! apparently, sean found out about the bakery even before me... well, good effort! we had a little difficulty locating the shop, so if you're thinking about heading down, remember it's tucked away on the second level.

i picked up a red velvet cupcake as usual, while sean went for the milk chocolate banana. red velvet seemed like a safe choice for me, and also i've made a mission to try red velvet cakes/cupcakes whenever possible. there isnt any seats available, so we had to move to somewhere else instead - decided to have our lunch at 211 roof terrace cafe.

the cupcakes were moist, and the frosting was nice and light - they werent too sweet (which is good, so you can keep eating them!)

it's really amazing how these little sugary treats makes me/one so happy.

grew up in the west, and of cos, i've been to holland v for countless times. in fact, very often! however, dining at 211 was my first. we took advantage of the lunch time set menu, and there we had the soup of the day, a main course, as well as a lemon meringue tart. the food wasnt fantastic, and in fact very disappointing, portion wised.........

made our way to zenso (sunshine plaza) for a simple dinner. so after last friday, i've officially tried three out of four/five thai restaurants along that stretch of sunshine plaza. next time, i'm gonna try the last one and also hook up w custard pau from victor's kitchen :)

Daily word,

on this day of your life, zhengning, we believe god wants you to know that humans learn only by trial and error, and that includes you.

" you've got to live life, not think about it. step into the midst of things, try and fail and learn and stand up again. the question is not whether you will or will not make mistakes - you will. the question is do you want to learn and grow, or do you want to shrink back and be stuck? take that step you've been avoiding. you can succeed, or you can get feedback that it didn't work, but in either case you are sure to feel alive. "

please dont leave me alone w my thoughts...............

i cant believe how quickly time flies by, it's almost two weeks into the new year. even though school has officially resumed: projects submissions, deadlines and assessments drawing near, i'm still in this burnt-out, post holiday mind. so i can see why it's taking me a little more time to get into the swing of things.

the first week of the new year always feels special, well for me at least, since i'm a sucker for fresh starts. i took advantage of the beautiful weekend - dragged sean down to farmer's market early in the morning, one°15 for sean's mom's birthday celebration in the afternoon/evening, and wavehouse's anniversary party at night - had to maximize my weekend i guess, since all these "free time" would disappear soon as we go further into the semester...... you hear that, four more weeks before our study break and i'm officially done w year two.
i cant wait to graduate.

i wouldnt have expected a farmers’ market in singapore if i did not stumble upon it online - apparently there are a few in singapore, but it doesnt happen every weekend. so i told myself i had to make a trip down and experience one myself on one of the saturdays when it's open. like i said, it was a beautiful weekend - farmers' market was open, and it was a nice and sunny day - i couldnt convince myself to stay in. so sean had to suffer w me lol, forced him to get out off his lala land and head down to loewens garden w me.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
there were various stalls selling breads, cheese, homemade baked goods, wine, organic fruits and vegetables, and gourmet meat. bought a chocolate cupcake ($4) and a cheese scone ($4.50) from the pantry cooking school as well as the elderflower poppy cake ($3.50) from sadie rose for breakfast. the area's pretty small though, so it's better not to have too high expectations (i was expecting something huge.... haha) - but it's a good experience i guess. am in love w the laid-back and kind folk setting, definitely a gem and sweet recreation of escaping city life.

went back to back up a little before heading down to one°15 to celebrate sean's mom's birthday,

it's my first time in sentosa cove actually, ikr what a county bumpkin i am... but it was good, there's always a start to everything i believe. thanks to sean's mom, i got the privilege to check out this yacht club off sentosa cove.

we went ahead to check out the infinity pool, before having dinner at imperial treasure.

apparently, you could dine while in the pool

we spent the rest of the afternoon sitting by the pool, admiring the view overlooking marina, looking at caucasian kids learning how to swim, talking about anything and everything while doing some sort of people-watching.... apparently i got a little burnt (which i have no idea how because the sun wasnt that bright in the afternoon) lol. still, i loved every single bit of it...

we got out the pool and spotted a rainbow, i mean it's no biggie but we dont get this often? the last time i spotted one was maybe more than a year ago if i'm not wrong. well, actually i'm not too sure.. but i do get excited everytime i spot one.

and back to the room. view from the balcony was even more stunning in the evening, i managed to capture a shot,

sweet.

we ended the night at wavehouse, and nope, i did not head down for the flowrider.. went to look for jiahui and louis! check out their event page - ShowAvenue. apparently, i managed to find a photo of us from stomp. i look horrible though.

and even earlier on, right at the start of week one, i attended jon's and eileen's 21st birthday party! it's been five years since we graduated from secondary school, gosh. and now we're all turning twenty one already.....

i've yet to post pictures of my trip to vietnam (though i have it on my fb alr), i still like the idea of keeping a 'photo diary' and jot down little details here and there. i cant wait for my next trip, i dont know when will it happen though, but i'm positive it'll happen before mid year. uhhh... hopefully! but now, i just want to save up, as much as i can. $.$ i have a goal yo. cny's in a week, am not particularly looking forward to it, but as usual, those cny goodies never fail to make me happy. and high.

snooze!
