Roger Rabbit,

so listen close to the sound of your soul,
take back a life.
we led once before.
if it ain't you, then who?
if it ain't you, then who's gonna love you?

nobody's gonna love you if you can't display a way to capture this.
nobody's gonna hold your hand and guide you through,
no it's up for you to understand.
nobody's gonna feel your pain when all is done,
and it's time for you to walk away.

so when you have today,
you should say all that you have to say.

Just one before work,

reporting live, from mai crib. i'm so bored, i'm not even pretending.

my sister came back from jarkarta yesterday after x days, and she brought back home so much snacks. i cant even. this particular snack, i dont even know what it is, uh let's see. okay it says "enak gurih renyah jagung haka" on the wrapper, it could be just a general term or something i have no idea, but it's so addictive!! so sure i'll be clearing that one tonight, which is bad.

so yes i'm heading to work in a bit - it's not like i love to work that much, i mean i'm totally fine w it. but sometimes i just have to. then again, this rain aint stopping anytime soon, thor please calm the fuck down for me, i need to head out thanks. love you thor. you're my man.

group shot hehe our first brunch date! myself, qiwen, anthea, ashley, and cheryl.

brunch date w my anchor girls, followed by a trip to oblong! it was common test week and we didnt have to head back to school that entire week, we were pretty much egg-inspired and decided to meet up for brunch to give ourselves a good treat after IP submission earlier on, and also to settle whatever we had to before everyone goes for their vacation. but fact is that i've already been treating my tummy v well HAHA, gosh. neways it was my second trip to hatched, as usual, i took so long to decide what to eat especially when all the choices available seemed v appealing. after so long, i decided to go ahead w the usual suspects - two eggs done in any style (i went ahead w scrambled eggs), sauteed potatoes, sausage, toast, and coffee. it was alright. anthea's sleepover was awesome though, love the combination! then again, nothing goes wrong w bacon right? oh my love for bacon...

oblong's located at the basement of balmoral plaza. well, the actual reason why we are there's because qiwen works there hahaa. head over to try their icecream, i posted pictures on instagram i think? didnt take my camera out the first time we were there. i gave white coffee almond, and matcha green tea a shot and they were pretty good! lovin' the polaroid wall as well, we took one of those too and stuck it up their wall. well i also received my first xmas present this year, two weeks before xmas hehe and that was from cheryl! so sweet of her x

7. L: huiling, myself, steph. R: sheena and steph.

met up w the dance seniors (yes i was from dance back during my sec sch days), it has been so long! well basically, sheena got back from NZ for a bit, and we hovered over to each other's fb recently and decided to do brunch on a saturday w the rest, to catch up w eachother's life. steph and huiling joined us for brunch that morning too, so good to see them after seven years and four years (huiling was a senior in sa too) respectively! we eventually settled upon the orange thimble, a quaint art cafe tucked away in tiong bahru estate - right next to tiong bahru bakery. i decided to go ahead w the english roll - pork sausage, bacon, mushroom and wild rocket in one wholesome neat pack. i was hungry, as you can tell. also, i love how every cuppa's served w gems at the side, definitely brought by lots of childhood memories. apart from a variery of pastries, they also have a wide selection of cakes, and icecream. great conversations, while savoring our yummy brunch on a saturday morning, it was definitely a good catch up.

13. meh bad hair day for me, but here's a lovely group shot w another two of her friends!

attended aline's birthday party on one of the weekends, i was told that i could bring a plus one w me, so i brought @wenshi15 along! hehe what a sweet girl, she agreed to go w me rightaway after i asked, just so to keep me company. aline's one of the only few people from my pae days that i still keep in touch w! most of my pae mates left sa after the six weeks, so glad that we're still staying in touch. so that's myself attending my last 21st birthday party this year, it's a wrap! cant believe i'm gonna start celebrating 22nd birthdays w my mates in just a few weeks' time.

day out w my dear girl @wenshi15 sometime back last month. we were craving for ramen so bad, well in fact i'm constantly craving for ramen (hint hint, people just date me out for ramen k i'll say yes) so the night before our date, i was researching on this joint. and wow, lots of rave reviews about this place, the fact that hard boiled eggs were free flow was so tempting. not forgetting pictures of that huge chicken thigh, there was no reason to say no. this is the third ramen restaurant opened by celebrity chef, keisuke takeda, and it's a brand new concept located within the vicinity of tanjong pagar just so that fans of tonkotsu king at orchid hotel can skip the long queue. there are three different soup bases available - original, black spicy(w szechuan peppercorn) and green spicy(w wasabi sauce). also, similar to the outlets, you can customise your ramen according to your preference. both of us went ahead with the black spicy ramen special, w all the toppings - that's only $16.90 w the full works of tamago eggs, seaweed, char siew, and the amazing tender chicken thigh w the ramen and broth. that's what i call 'the ultimate meal in a bowl' - the chicken thigh was amazingly huge, and perfectly grilled. it was so good.. besides the free flow of hard boiled eggs, other condiments includes chilled pickled beansprouts, freshly roasted sesame seeds, bonito flakes and chilli powder. such a satisfying meal we had! definitely worth every penny.

such a girly and cosy place! this little bakery cafe offers set lunches, all day tea sets, beverages, as well as a huge selection of desserts - ranging from cupcakes, scones, and even marshmallow pops. i eventually went back to the shop a week later to grab more marshmallow pops because they were too cute (i'll post them up in a bit) we decided to order the charlotte tea set to share since we were still pretty full from our ultimate bowl at tori king, and we still have dinner plans later on. and there you go - a petite chocolate cupcake, mini cranberry scone, a savory canape, and the peanut butter chocolate. the scone was definitely my favorite.
little house of dreams not only offers dessert table and candy bar services, they also holds various pastry and crafting workshop! do check out their webpage for their lovely dessert table and details on their classes.

Turning 21,

the world is still up and running, i've got so many texts like, "omg you're still alive", "congratulations, you survived!!" haha hokayy, i didnt believed that doomsday shit at all anyway. but still, i realised that if it was really earth's last day yesterday, i would be cracking eggs or washing the lava cake tins at work. and i was wearing just a pair of jeans and a polo tee, and an apron stained w milk chocolate. oh and my hair combed all the way backwards. basically, i looked bad from all angles. no fucking way am i going to die this way hahaa.

so i turned 21 two weeks ago. apparently, turning 21's the cusp of adulthood (well, traditionally) but i kinda disagree that statement because i dont think turning 21 means the end of childhood, at least for me. then again, if you think about it thoroughly, what can we do when we turn 21 that we have not already done before? of course, i think it's an great excuse to throw a party to mark this step before keeping the fun going for the next nine years uh. actually i wouldnt mind holding parties every year, it's kinda fun actually, but planning really needs some time and lots of effort.

i planned and celebrated my birthday earlier this year, the weekend before my cake day to be exact since it falls on a weekday. a dinner party that is! contacted and enquired a few cafes and eventually settled on soho coffee. i've been there once, and really liked how cosy yet classy the boutique cafe is! eventually booked the entire cafe, and also requested roses and a dessert spread along w the three course meal. i also had trouble w my birthday cake, a lot of trouble actually. i emailed three different bakeshop, and all three owners were heading overseas on the weekend i planned to have my party, what are the odds? but thank goodness, leo offered to help me w my cake. cant thank that dude enough, he's the baker of our shop, but more like an elder brother to me. and that night, i made it clear that all my guests got to turn up wearing red lipstick! made me so damn happy.

on my actual birthday, mom dragged me outta my room and surprised me w a birthday cake just before 12 sharp. that's extremely sweet of her to do that, dont you think? posted a photo of that on my instagram, and yes got to say this again, sometimes my mom does surprise me when i thought there's nothing that would ever surprise me anymore. the next morning, i came to the kitchen to a bowl of meesuah w two boiled eggs. it has been customary at least for my family that, we got to have birthday meesua w two eggs on our birthdays. i'm almost proud that my family keeps this tradition alive, nothing beats the feeling of eating something mommy dearest prepared w all her heart right early in the morn,

headed out to meet my sishood girls for dinner, and i didnt expect my anchor girls to plan a surprise for me at all! sweetest girls ever, no doubt. i thank god that i got closer to the four of them this semester.

still, though i'm a grown up young lady (hahaha funny term to call myself) i dont quite consider myself an ADULT-adult yet since i dont have the financial ability to own my own apartment, or car.. that said, gonna do up 2013's new year resolution in a bit. goals, please be realistic.
